Update: Couldn’t wait around. I used my drill press to bore correct hole. Everything else works great. I have a lot of stuff on the desk, that’s why I wanted the 220lb rating! Motor is not that quite but it’s OK for me 2mins throughout the day is no problem, but it’s just my home office. It maybe distracting if it’s in a crowded office. Will update if anything changes. Once I have everything organized with cables and covers will update pictures.
Received yesterday and trying to assemble and realized that one of the crossbar end’s holes are not aligned to the screws holes in the leg. other crossbar is perfectly aligned. Since drilling is probably is computerized, I can only think a cross bar from another model has been mistakenly added to this kit. Have to wait till Monday for customer service and even longer to have a desk - I dismantled my existing setup😬. Will update after figuring out what customer service suggests.
Bought this base to replace one that had failed from another overseas maker. Old one had no wobble and was more money of course. Vivo model was easy to assemble and had the Allens you needed to do it which was nice. Quiet motor and nice keypad for control. Great for sitting at, no wobble, but when standing forget it. I am using 2 led monitors and a laptop. Nothing major. Typing on this standing made me crazy. Going to give it to someone that sits and they can use it. Extra hardware and cable tray was very nice. Might be good for entry level, but after having a Lexus over a say Kia it makes a difference.
Very straight forward assembly. I put a 28" door on it (from the previous desk setup) but think I will shift to a more solid desk top to better match the quality of the frame and its capabilities. So far very pleased. Relatively small shipping box (but heavy), easy setup (less than 1 hr), all the parts were there and labeled well with instructions. Feels stable without a big bulky frame. Quiet motor. Really pleased so far.
Package arrived about a week later than initially expected which was a bummer. That seems to have been sellers fault as it was seller shipped. Instructions are not the best but am handy and it took about 45 mins to put together. Got the top from staples for cheap and it worked out well. So far it works great but the stability is not the best.
I'm using a solid wood top that weighs ~60lbs and I'm 6'5" tall so when it's extended up to the height I prefer for standing its a little wobbly but not so much that i'm worried its gonna fall or tip over. I also had the issue where one of the predrilled holes for fastening the leg to the crossbar wasn't aligned so I had to drill that - not that big of a deal if you've got the tools on hand. Do I expect this desk frame will last me 5 years, no. Am I happy with the purchase and the finished product, yes.
Overall it's pretty sturdy. Setup is pretty straight forward and it works as expected. The settings are a little strange to get to, but that's kind of expected with only four buttons and the small digital display. It does come with a cable tray and cable tie down things that I screwed to the bottom of the desk. Overall it's very good quality.
I had some “extra parts from putting it together, which is a little unnerving. But overall assembly was fairly easy and it’s feels stable at full height. I haven’t used it yet but am excited about the project.
