I didn't finish reading it. I found it to be so descriptive about very mundane stuff that it completely obligued more important happenings that were going around.
The book feels empty and lacking importance, by addressing important issues in the current world that starves many of us out of joy. It's just a boring and dull recount about the encounter of these two.
There aren't that many books out there that nourishes the soul like "The Book of Joy." I may add "The Union Moujik", "The Power of Positive Thinking" to "The Book of Joy" as truly inspiring and uplifting works that tap man's inner richness to overcome the internal and external negative influences that are constantly trying to drown us as individuals and as a group. This work by the Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu is a must read.
