Críticas

"This book would be a wonderful read for any"Game of Thrones" fans looking for a more erotic alternative, or fans of the fantasy genre in general. These little bites of adventure are perfect for people who like a little bit of variety in their naughty books, and for those whose attention spans prefer short bursts. Any curious reader of alternative fiction should give it a read as well."
--Ask Miss Annabelle
"If you love fantasy writing, this book is for you... These are fantastical stories of myths and knights, with a sexy element."
--Hedo Vibes
"The sensation of jumping from one fantastic world to the next is wonderful. The authors of several of the stories have taken great care to add minute details of setting without being overwhelming. They realize that short stories can only give a glimpse, and they want to make sure that glimpse shines."
--Uncustomary Book Review
"We are able to connect with the world in which they live, lose ourselves in the story line and also get to enjoy some good sex in the meantime."
--Tracy Riva
"Mystical lands of lust and legend set the scene for these fourteen tales that include the story of an ailing knight who, delirious with fever, dishonors the young beauty nursing him back to health--much to her delight!"
--After Dark
"A daring collection that will delight fantasy fans looking for stories with lots of sex, instead of just a few sex scenes."
-- Portland Book Review
"Set in fantastical lands, full of knights, kings, dragons and druids, let this collection appeal to your inner adventurer."
-- Dork Adore
"Each story is thick plot and setting, allowing you to really feel like they are part of bigger worlds even though you are only getting a small taste of them."
--Fox in the Flowers
"I enjoyed reading each and every story. Almost every one got my blood pumping and in a good way. So if you love dragons, wizards, warlocks, or just anything to do with magic. With some hot erotic stories around them then this is the book for you."
--Romance After Dark
"It's as good as the blurb promises and just as hot as it sounds! "Thrones of Desire" is every fantasy geek's wet daydream!"
--For the Love of Reading
"Anytime you can throw a knight in front of a dragon for the love of a woman, you have my undivided attention!... These are fantastical stories of myths and knights, with a sexy element."
--KissinBlueKaren
It took me back to a mystical time where lords ruled and dragons flew around freely. This anthology could easily be considered appealing to both genders... "Thrones of Desire"is a very lovely compilation." - Batty for Books and Loving It
"Mitzi Szereto has done a top-notch editing job as each story seamlessly flows into the other. The stories range from lonely women tending to wounded soldiers to fierce female Dragonmeisters strutting around half-naked and generally being awesome. There are elements of magic, forbidden love, bitter sexual tension, violence, death, good versus evil, myth and folklore. Something for everyone, unless you are in anyway prudish... My favorite stories in the collection were "At the Sorcerer's Command" by Kim Knox, "In the Kingdom of Roz" by Madeline Moore and "Eyekeeper" by Aurelia T. Evans. These three were very different stories but seemed to involve the broadest range of fantasy elements. They all flawlessly determined recognizable genre, believable characters and rich plot, which is something I always find extremely admirable about short story writers. "Thrones of Desire" is a fantastic collection of erotic stories that carry a severe hotness warning and definitely require recuperation intervals. Digest this collection at a slow pace or you are sure to suffer a swordplay (*wink*wink*) overload!"

- For the Love of Reading
"A long day behind you, a soft bed beneath you, and a glorious book of erotic tales held out in front of you...how could you go wrong? With "Thrones of Desire: Erotic Tales of Swords, Mist and Fire," you are certain to get turned on before you turn the lights off."
--Dr. Chelsea Holland
"It's a book I didn't want to put down. It's a book that I didn't want to take my eyes off of, and MOST important, it's a book that, at the end of every story, I wished it would just continue on-and-on. That's how amazing the writers are. If you like the fantasy genre and like your erotica with some heavy plots mixed in, "Thrones of Desire" is most-likely going to be the best erotica book you've ever read."
--Pop My Cherry Reviews
"It's fantasy in the epic tradition, but with lots of steam! You'll find dragons and warriors, kings and queens, heroes and villains, sorcerers and secrets--it's got it all!"
--Romance Junkies
"Allow yourself the pleasure of being one to read this new anthology of fantasy and eroticism that brings together that world with sex. Even though these stories are basically by women and for women, as a man I really enjoyed the collection as I am sure you will."
--Reviews by Amos Lassen
"Sexier than Guinevere and Sir Lancelot's indiscretions in Arthurian mythology, hot, passionate and magical to boot."
--Killer Aphrodite
"A good book for the Dungeons and Dragons crowd." - Night Owl Reviews

Descripción del producto

Thrones of Desire: Erotic Tales of Swords, Mist and Fire is a place where lust and legend abound, and adventure, passion and danger entwine. Think mystical lands and creatures, kings and queens, knights and renegades, heroes and villains, warlords, maidens and princesses. Think battles and danger, honor and dishonor, good and evil. Most of all, think hearts filled with passion and secret desire. This is a place where romantic chivalry is alive and well, but so too is romantic wickedness. This is a place where the good do not always win, and the bad are often more captivating and desirable than their altruistic counterparts. In these lush and timeless landscapes, the battle for flesh can be as important as the battle for power. Intrigue, sorcery, revenge, lawlessness, dark secrets and mysterious elixirs; entanglements with supernatural beings – everything is possible in these magical mythical landscapes. Inspired by Game of Thrones these imaginative steamy tales transport the reader to fantastical realms.

High School level creative writing at best.
Not worth purchasing unless you are a fan of entry level short stories.

Thrones of Desire is a fantasy erotic book that contains 14 short stories from various authors. I am a big fan of romantic chivalry. Anytime you can throw a knight in front of a dragon for the love of a woman, you have my undivided attention! There are a few fighting heroins in this book as well. The woman in these stories are as strong as their male counterparts. The stories are complete with adventure, myths, legends, and swords. The characters are full of lust for life and love.

Thrones of Desire is edited by Mitzi Szereto and includes a Foreward by Piers Anthony. The book contains stories by Janine Ashbless, Sacchi Green, Ashley Lister, Eric Del Carlo, Kim Knox, Anna Meadows, Madeline Moore, Jo Wu, M.H. Crane, Aurelia T. Evans, Nyla Nox, Megan Arkenberg, Zander Vyne, and Mitzi Szereto.

This book touched on mythical kingdoms and secrets. All of the main characters are heroes in their own right and more than a few start off as captives and must fight their way out and into the arms of the ones they love. I was swept away into the worlds of these stories. If you love fantasy writing, this book is for you. All of the stories contain an erotic element, but I felt that the sex was not the main attraction. This book is not smut. These are fantastical stories of myths and knights, with a sexy element.

I loved this book!

My absolute favorite love story in this book was in Key to the Queen's Elixir by Jo Wu. This story was about a snow queen and an intruder. The love story backdrop was, well...it was haunting. A knight is hunting for the elixir that will save the children of the kingdom and he gets much more than he expected from the snow queen.

The story Flesh and Stone by Sacchi Green was another very memorable story. Sacchi Green writes with such passion that I can feel her characters. This story follows the sale of a girl at the slave market. She becomes the possession of the `woman champion from the mountains'. A woman that can turn men to stone. The slave soothes her mistress before redirecting her attention to the man who turned to stone. "The mind is the body's most sensuous organ." Indeed Sacchi! This tale is very sensual.

All of the stories had thick plots that are tough to try to describe in this little review. I know the fantasy writing of this book won't appeal to everyone, especially since the sex is buried beneath such armor. To those that love fantasy worlds though, this book will be such a good fit.

( I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review )
Fantastic anthology of erotic stories, it's as good as the blurb promises and just as hot as it sounds! Thrones of Desire is every fantasy geek's wet day dream! The Foreword by Piers Anthony sets the mood perfectly you feel like shouting hooray to the fact that we can now write it as raunchy as we like it and not be ashamed of some male parts touching other female parts. ;)

And now comes the horrible part of trying to describe each story with one or two sentences so that the review won't be god awfully long. ;) Most of the stories were really good, well written and had substance so what I'm about to describe are the high notes of the bouquet :

Hot As a Dragon's Blood by Eric Del Carlo was bit weird, bit odd but fun!
Of High Renown by Janine Ashbless was a sexy story of nursing a knight back to health with some TLC and a side of sex.
At The Sorcerer's Command by Kim Knox was a sexy, smutty alpha male must read!
Silver by Anna Meadows was chivalrous tale of shyness, madness and stardust.
In the Kingdom of Roz by Madeline Moore was dark, sexy tale of princess coming of age and a kidnap.
Key to the Queen's Elixir by Jo Wu was entertaining tale of wolves, Snow Queen and a knight waking a sleeping past.
Here There Be Dragons by Ashley Lister was all about Dragons and scratching an itch that is formed by loneliness and the revenge of a woman wronged.
Flesh and Stone by Sacchi Green was a story from a slave market to a her new mistress's schemes.
Saints and Heroes by M.H. Crane - I was not a fan of this one it was just too bit too donfusing with all the term for a short story.
Escape by Mitzi Szereto was hot, well told and interesting, you wanted to figure out if the escape would work out.
Eyekeeper by Aurelia T. Evans was a little crazy, little dark, little sexy and all about the power trip.
The Widows's Man by Nyla Nox was interesting love letter to the woman he'd betrayed his Queen for.
Jericho by Megan Arkenberg was bit odd and harder to understand, not so sexy.
The Last Sacrifice by Zander Vyne was beautiful story of love, dragon, sacrifice and a unseen consequences.

With that said I'm all for promoting this erotica short story anthology to all fans of fantasy and fans on getting down dirty! ;)

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Vicki

The initial questions I need to ask myself after reading sexy books are: A) Do I need a cold shower? And B) Will this fire-engine red blush ever go away? In the case of Thrones of Desire; I believe I shall be spending the next week in my freezer and buying a thick pale ivory foundation from this day forth.

The title of this book, and perhaps even the conception itself, is something that has most likely been born from the kinky corners of the Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire bandwagon. That is not to say that George R. R. Martin doesn't dish out his fair share of kink - but even his Santa Clause beard wouldn't hide the inevitable mischievous flush. Thrones of Desire is a collection of short stories from various established authors, all of whom are well respected wordkinksmiths in the fantasy/high fantasy/erotic genres. The caliber of writing is nothing short of superb and although the collection is quite literally story after story of sexy olde worldy frolics; there is no repetition or mediocrity.

Mitzi Szereto has done a top-notch editing job as each story seamlessly flows into the other.

Thrones of Desire is a fantastic collection of erotic stories that carry a severe hotness warning and definitely require recuperation intervals. Digest this collection at a slow pace or you are sure to suffer a swordplay (*wink*wink*) overload!
