Descripción del producto

It is Lily’s first day in the Velesi realm but not as the princess she was made to believe, but as a captive to a strange Lithi elf name Ziri – Tharin and Tolan’s mysterious brother. Who is he and why has he taken her? Or is he only a pawn in someone’s deadly game of chess?

Tharin and Lily discover a prophecy involving the Unnamed Sidhe and a way back to Eirrell, the birthplace of the Thirteen Clans. However, before they can get to the doorway to Eirrell, Lily must first make it to the Day of the Seating to take her rightful place on the throne of the Willow Clan.

Tharin must keep Lily safe until the Day of the Seating even if it means keeping the beautiful Sidhe warrior Kalis close to him. Will he be able to protect his naïve, but stubborn bride-to-be not just from Harlu but from his warrior mistress? He once again turns to his brother and cousin, to only find that Tolan has his own problems with his feisty Julia.

Thank goodness for the future king of Velesi that he has Phoris, Alorn and Mellis to cover his royal back.

Welcome to Velesi, a realm existing alongside our own with their own rules, their own players and their own way of life.

3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas I liked this book better than the first book. 25 de octubre de 2015

The characters are becoming more interesting, and the plot is becoming more convoluted. I still think that the Hero is an egotistical blowhard, and the Heroine is too wimpy. But the world building is good, and the action scenes are written well.

This is a YA novel, so the sexual scenes are light. The story may be getting a little too involved for a younger reader's preference; but as an adult, I'm liking the more substantial plotline better. Waiting for what may develop next makes it a more intriguing read for me. I will probably read the final book in the trilogy.
4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Tharin, Tharin, Tharin.... 12 de febrero de 2016

The Drifting picks up exactly where the first book in the series, The Binding, ended. Lily is scared, she is in a new place with strange people she doesn't know. The one person who should be helping her, Tharin is extremely wishy-washy this entire book. Just as with the first book, this one also switches back and forth between the perspectives of Lily and Tharin. Everytime Tharin's turn would happen I would instantly think, "Okay, how are you going to make me mad now?" I mean, it was just one thing after another.

Not only did Tharin dig a hole for himself, he kept on digging.....deeper......and deeper. I really like Tharin, but come on your the future king, man up! It was not only me that felt this way, Lily had exactly no idea what was going on with him, among other things. She is a busy girl! Being at the center of a prophecy that could save the world and prevent war is certainly no cake walk! And on top of that she has to deal with some moody, wishy-wasy elf!

Besides Tharin, being Tharin, the world that L. Filloon created is expanded upon even more in this second installment. She is extremely talented! She described a world filled with beautiful trees, and a LOT of rain. There is no doubt in my mind that Velesi would be beautiful.

Some Good Quotes:

"However, he was right about one thing. You are stunning, but then again, you are my twin."

"What a spoiled and self-entitled bitch. I have had to deal with her type all my life, both Julia and me. Always looking down their noses at me, and my height had nothing to do with it."

"Yes, but you must remember that you hold your own destiny. Fate can whisper in your ear what road you should take, but it is up to you to make that decision."
5.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Action and Drama but a great read 25 de marzo de 2014

This one has a lot more drama and action then the first book, Lily is all emotional since her BFF thinks she is dead and is dealing with her new powers on top of her learning to fight. She learns who is really is, know who Lucas was and she comes to peace for him and made him a promise. She also hears her mother, which she didnt know before, that has been helping and guide her through her training and when she dont know what to do. She also learns about the prophecy about her and the future king. Also there is a lot of grief and even rage when she learns she has a twin brother out to claim her for his own wife, nasty. This a differently a 8 star or better rating then the 5.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas lots of intrigue 26 de enero de 2013

I was so ready to return to the Velesi Trilogy and bought this book as soon as it came out. I found myself more frustrated with Lily and Tharen in this book than in the previous one.

There is so much intrigue in this book that you really don't know who is on who's side and what their ultimate goal is. I enjoyed all the subterfuge with all the political workings of the throne and elf world, but was frustrated with Lily and Tharen on their relationship.

Tharen acting very stereotypical male in the way he is blinded by a person that no one else in his world is blind to and he's not communicating with Lily. Lily, who is too self deprecating and immature, most of the time. I loved it when she got mad, I just wished she would have confronted Tharen and forced a little dialogue. I would like to see Lily come into her own in the next book, right now she is drifting along and everyone involved has a different plan and goal without even knowing what is going on around her.

I was sad by the loss of friends and allies in this book, but am looking forward to the next book. Hopefully some of the questions will be answered and Lily, Tharen and company will realize that they need everyone on the same page to try and save the elf world and themselves.
3.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Not as good as the first. 6 de enero de 2017

After reading the first one I made the rare decision to buy the second. But I don't think I'll bother with the third. I did somewhat enjoy reading the book and was anxious to find out what happened next. But again, as with the first book, there were too many writing errors, words left out, etc.. And while Lilly and Tharins confusion on how each felt was annoying but understandable in this first book, it was beyond frustrating in this one...then add Julia and Tolans to the mix, it was just too annoying. I know Lilly is young and new to their world, but it'd be nice to have a heroine come into her own and think responsibly & less selfishly before the end of two books.
